Our Coronavirus Preparedness Plan, A Note From Our President
After thirty years of serving the life sciences community, we consider you to be not only our clients, but also our friends. As such, the health of our community remains our highest priority.
Our mission is to develop great leaders and build high performing, values-based teams, who, through phenomenal science, will positively transform the quality of human health. As we find ourselves in the midst of the coronavirus outbreak, our work together has never been more important.
Like many of you, my team and I at The Leadership Edge have been working on our coronavirus preparedness plan. With our commitment to your health and safety, we will continue to serve you through our programs, consulting and coaching. While we have always been committed to maintaining a healthy and safe environment for our clients and facilitators, I would like to give you as much information as possible about the procedures we are currently following for our classroom-based learning programs.
- We are working with our partners and clients to ensure the learning environment is cleaned prior to every session. This means wiping down hard surfaces including tables, chairs, white board markers, etc.
- We encourage good hygiene from all participants by providing hand sanitizer in the conference rooms and providing multiple breaks for handwashing.
- We have revised programming, including replacing activities where materials are shared by participants, to new activities that do not require multiple people using blocks, puzzle pieces or Legos.
- We discourage attendance if someone is not feeling well and have created multiple methods for making up sessions should they be missed.
- We will continue to monitor recommendations from the CDC and WHO to ensure the actions we are taking are appropriate.
With an ever-changing situation, we are developing program delivery options to ensure there is no disruption in our ability to support you during this period of uncertainty. This includes webinar-based programming to maintain high levels of interaction without the need to be in close proximity to others. The method of delivery is currently being determined on a case by case basis in response to the needs of you, our clients.
It is during times of uncertainty and challenge that the strength of your leadership and organizational culture is tested. We are here to provide you with the guidance, development and support you need to thrive not only in this time, but as your company continues to deliver on the promise of new solutions for human health.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly, or to speak with any member of our team.
Sincerely,
Gaylene Xanthopoulos
President
